A Little About My Education
Growing up as a Toronto native, I attended high school at Harbord Collegiate Institute between 2003 through 2007. Excelling in all my science courses (specifically physics and exercise science), I pursued post-secondary education at the University of Toronto between 2007-2011. During my enrollment, I was heavily involved in community based and extra curricular programs. I served as the President of the faculty’s undergraduate student council in my final year. Graduating with Honors from U of T, I immediately gained acceptance to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Graduating in 2015, I began to supplement and further my education gained at the chiropractic college by taking extra-curricular courses in:
My Patient Approach
Every patient interaction and encounter is unique, as no two patients or symptom presentations are identical. Each patient begins their visit by filling in an intake form so I can gather a bit of valuable health related information. Patients will receive a detailed health history, followed by a physical examination. Examinations are very hands-on, involving functional assessments, orthopedic tests, range of motion screening, gait analysis and hands-on assessment of the painful regions.
Putting all the gathered information together, I will present my diagnosis to my patient, and discuss various treatment options that are best suited to the condition at hand. Together, we discuss the best treatment plan to get my patient out of pain as quickly as possible, to return to regular function, and to prevent future episodes of pain.
A typical treatment session will be 20-30 minutes, consisting of:
How Long Does It Take To Get Better?
Although every patient’s response to treatment is different, most uncomplicated musculoskeletal conditions will resolve within 6-8 sessions. Many patients will report an immediate response to treatment upon leaving their first visit.
With a combination of hands-on treatment and rehabilitative reconditioning, most patients have responded favorably to their treatment plans after 6-8 visits. Following acute care, many patients continue to visit my office regularly for maintenance visits to ensure their muscle tension and joint range of motion maintains a certain level of care to prevent future re-injury.
